Position Description

TradingScreen R&D group is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Java developer to join our team in London. You will have the opportunity to work on a varied technology stack, developing on existing systems as well green-field development on new integration projects across several different areas of the business.

You will have the opportunity to enhance your skill in the following areas:
  • Java

  • Market data protocols
  • RESTful web services and associated technologies
  • Database Systems
  • Network protocols
  • Concurrent programming
  • Real-time processing
  • Distributed caching technology
  • Maven, Git, Teamcity

These are not requirements but an interest and passion for technology is key. The role is varied and diverse, in an environment where you really have the opportunity to stand out.


You will need to be an excellent communicator with good inter-personal skills: able to work with colleagues located locally and worldwide, communicating by telephone, video, email and chat. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and adaptable. You will be university educated with a degree in an IT related subject.

A Computer Science degree would be ideal. We are looking for a strong developer, with good natural design skills. You will be able to produce efficient and maintainable code, and able to understand and debug complex existing applications.

You will have the ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other developers at all levels in an agile development environment.
