Pierre Schroeder is the chief executive of TS. In addition to serving on the TS board for eight years, Pierre was an early investor and customer and has an intimate understanding of the company’s products and services.
He brings 25 years of experience to his role including notable experience in senior capital markets and proprietary trading positions. Schroeder spent two decades at Société Générale (SocGen) in a number of senior leadership roles.
Pierre is the founder and chief investment officer of Square Investment Management and FSA-regulated Global Macro Square One Hedge Fund, which operated from 2005 until 2008.
Prior to founding Square Investment Management, he was Chairman of the Board of Centradia, a joint-venture trade execution platform between Societe Generale (SG), Royal Bank of Scotland, BSCH, Commerzbank and IMI-Sao Paulo.
Pierre serves on the Comité de Surveillance de Descamps SAS and has a law degree from the Université Paris 1 Sorbonne with specialization in business.
Joe Ahearn is the head of fixed income at TS. He is one of the company’s co-founders and initially joined the firm as chief technology officer.
Prior to founding TS, Ahearn held a variety of positions at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) and spent over 14 years with the firm, including multiple senior positions. As director at CSFB, Joe was responsible for front office e-commerce trading and internet-based application development. As chief technology officer of CSFB’s PrimeWorld family of e-commerce financial products, Ahearn built and managed electronic trading systems for all major financial markets. He was responsible for product development, design, software development, architecture design, technical infrastructure and project management. In addition, he was instrumental in building and implementing the exchange links with European electronic exchanges.
In 1987, Joe joined CSFB’s equity technology group in Tokyo where he built program-trading applications, electronic exchange connectivity to all major markets and launched the first straight-through processing engine, from trader to clearing agent, in the Japanese market.
Jon Andrews is TS global head of infrastructure and joined the firm in 2000. Andrews is responsible for the engineering and operations of the network, server platform technology, database systems and security. He brings over 20 years of experience to TS.
Prior to joining TS, Andrews worked for Credit Suisse on the global Unix engineering team where was responsible for managing the Unix Operating System which was deployed across 3,500 of the banks’ key global trading systems.
Andrews has also held positions at Churchill Insurance where he was a part of the team that delivered a mission-critical database on Solaris in the United Kingdom and was instrumental in scaling Churchill’s rapidly expanding business on Unix platforms from Pyramid Technology.
Andrews served in the Royal Air Force from 1983-1989, working on aviation systems on the Tornado GR1 aircraft before joining GEC Plessey Telecoms.
He received a master’s degree in computer science from Birkbeck College, University of London.
Lyuba Golberg, Chief People Officer at TS, is a corporate strategist and global executive with more than 15 years of human resources experience across diverse organizations. She has extensive knowledge of employment law and global practices and has effectively led HR teams in the U.S., Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Previously, Lyuba served as Chief People Officer and a member of the Senior Leadership Team at RelSci LLC. Prior to RelSci, Lyuba served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Ullink following their acquisition of NYFIX and Metabit, establishing their global HR infrastructure.
From 2009 to 2015, Lyuba was Managing Director of HR and a member of the NYSE Technologies executive team, leading the HR function across the U.S. and Asia. She also led due diligence and integration efforts for multiple global acquisitions. Prior to NYSE, Lyuba was HR Generalist for AIG from 2004 to 2009. She began her career in 2001 with the American Red Cross in the role of HR Generalist for the 9/11 Recovery Program.
Lyuba is an alumnus of Hunter College where she earned her Bachelor of Science, and attended the Executive Education Program at INSEAD.
Piero Grandi is the chairman of the board for TS. As an early investor in TS, Grandi was appointed independent director in 2008 and has chaired the compensation committee since 2011.
Grandi has over 35 years of experience in global financial services, having worked at Citicorp, American Express and Lloyds Banking Group.
Since 1985, he has been both an entrepreneur and angel investor in numerous start-ups across a variety of industries. He also manages investments through his Swiss family office, Grandi and Partners SA.
He graduated cum laude, with a degree in economics, from the Rome University in Italy.
Kevin Held is the chief financial officer of TS. Held joined TS in 2014 and oversees the finance, human resources and administrative groups. He has over twenty five years of finance experience in the securities and financial technology industries.
For over ten years, Held was global controller for Liquidnet Holdings, Inc. and chief financial officer for its U.S brokerage, Liquidnet, Inc., where he was responsible for building the finance department infrastructure to support the global organization.
Prior to Liquidnet, Kevin spent 15 years working with a number of boutique securities firms serving the private equity, institutional and investment banking arenas in a number of executive roles responsible for finance, human resources, regulatory compliance, treasury and strategic planning.
Kevin graduated from Adelphi University in 1987 with a BBA in Accounting and in 2006 with an MBA in Finance. He is a certified public accountant and is licensed as a financial and operations principal (Series 27) and general securities principal (Series 24) with FINRA.
Bernard Ho is TS head of Asia Pacific sales and operations. He joined TS in 2005 and is based in Hong Kong.
Ho has over 18 years of experience in the global financial technology industry. Prior to joining TS, he worked at Reuters and Thomson Financial where he managed the business development of the order/portfolio management, order routing and risk analytics services to the buy side community. Bernard started his career at DST International where he focused on the portfolio management software.
Bernard holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Econometrics and a Bachelor of Business in Banking and Finance from Monash University, Australia.
Chris Hollands is TS head of European Sales and Account Management and is responsible for all of TS’s client-facing activities in Europe, managing a team based in each of its office locations in London, Paris and Geneva. On a day-to-day basis, Chris oversees the major broker relationships and buy side accounts in the region and supervises all sales and marketing initiatives.
He rejoined TS in October 2016 following a two year stint heading up Proposition Management for Equities at Thomson Reuters in Europe across its transactions, desktop and feeds businesses, and including its approach to MiFID II. Chris originally had started at TS in 2001 at the inception of its European operations to play a pivotal role in its evolution into one of the leading, multi- asset class EMSs in the industry. Prior to this, he worked in a buy side business development role at the London Stock Exchange for two years after a four year period at Fimat (now Newedge) sales trading equity derivatives.
Chris holds an MBA from Warwick Business School and a BSc. in International Management and Modern Languages from the University of Bath.
Chris Kingsbury is the chief technology officer of TS and is based in the firm’s New York office. Kingsbury joined TS in 2000 and previously headed TS’s development group. He has over 20 years of experience in the electronic trading industry and additional experience as a systems architect and developer in the aerospace industry.
Prior to joining TS, Kingsbury served as an assistant vice president at Merrill Lynch in Tokyo, where he was responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the company’s equity order management and real-time position systems. During his tenure at Merrill Lynch, he also contributed to the architecture and development of the firm’s global portfolio management system.
From 1994 to 1997, Kingsbury worked as a developer on NASA’s Earth Observing System (EOS) project. He contributed to the design and development of a massively distributed data management system used to collect, process and archive the enormous steams of data from NASA’s earth sciences satellites.
He received a Bachelor of Science in computer science from George Mason University.
Quentin Limouzi is TS chief revenue officer. Quentin is responsible for defining and implementing TS’s sales strategy, globally defining segments, product reach, targets and budgets. He also oversees TS’s client-facing group, but personally manages global sell side partner relationships and top client accounts. Limouzi presides over the TS graduate program and marketing delivery.
He rejoined the firm in 2015 as global sales chief operating officer in Tokyo. Limouzi spearheaded TS client-facing business in Asia from 2003 to 2007 and launched its Hong Kong office. He started his career at TS as a new graduate in London in September 2002.
Limouzi has 15 years of experience in the electronic execution space. Prior to rejoining TS, he headed execution sales and coverage in Hong Kong for Asia Pacific at HSBC Securities. He held a similar position at BNP Paribas for Asia Pacific from 2007 to 2013.
Limouzi holds a masters degree in management from EM Lyon and a bachelor’s in economics with an emphasis on quantitative analysis techniques from Universite Jean Moulin Lyon III.
Jean-Philippe Malé is the regional manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa and the chief executive of Galaxy, TS’s pan-European fixed income multilateral trading facility, which he developed in 2011. He has been with TS for over 12 years.
Prior to this role, Malé was TS global head of OTC and developed the first FX execution management system, built a global distribution team, and expanded the firm’s transaction business.
Before 2011, Malé was based in London and New York where he served as global head of products for TS. He worked directly with upper-level management to implement the first multi-asset class execution management system.
He received a Bachelor of Science in finance and computer engineering from Institut d’Informatique d’Entreprise and a master’s in project management from Université du Québec in 2003.
Varghese Thomas is Chief Strategy Officer at TS. Varghese is a technology executive with over 20 years of global leadership, strategy and business development experience in financial information, managed infrastructure/cloud and SaaS-based organizations.
Varghese previously leveraged his enterprise and corporate experience within the start-up community across various industries. He engaged with executives, boards, and investors melding strategy, business development, alliances, sales, and marketing to accelerate growth through evolving stages of the company.
Before venturing out on his own, Varghese was Senior Vice President at NYSE Euronext (acquired by ICE) responsible for its financial cloud, hosting, network and managed services business at NYSE Technologies. Varghese was also the Global Head of Financial Services at Savvis (acquired by CenturyLink) where he led strategy, marketing, business development, alliances and solutions for the business unit. Before Savvis, Varghese held several leadership roles at Thomson Reuters. He also worked at Smith Barney’s market data and trading services team.
