TradingScreen Launches TS TradeFX

Adds Foreign Exchange Trading Functionality to its Global, Multi-Broker, Multi-Asset Class, Independent Execution Management System

NEW YORK (October 25, 2005): TradingScreen Inc, the leading provider of multi- broker, multi-product trading platforms with straight-through-processing, today announced the launch of TradeFX, its Multi-Liquidity pool FX Trading Module.  TradeFX simplifies foreign exchange trading by aggregating financial information from multiple assets and brokers on one integrated user platform.

With TradeFX, end users can conduct transactions across the full spectrum of FX electronic trading models and venues, including Full Streaming (FS), Request for Stream (RFS) and Request for Quote (RFQ). This solution enables customers to trade FX as an asset class effectively and simply at a click of a mouse without complex integration across platforms and provides them with the ability to view consolidated quotes, including Spot, Forwards and Swaps, across multiple banks and liquidity systems.  TradingScreen’s clients also have the ability to trade Global Equities, Options, Warrants, Exchange Traded Funds, Convertible Bonds and Listed Derivatives on the same platform. This has allowed TradingScreen to offer multiple innovative FX hedging strategies to clients with a need to cover their currency exposure originating from another asset class trade or position.  The client can then create automatic “Secondary FX” trades to hedge their exposure and execute them on a trade or position level.

TradingScreen, whose broker neutral front end connects to all the major sell side counterparties for a variety of asset classes, currently offers FX trading with Bank of America, Bear Stearns, Currenex, Globex, Lehman Brothers among the numerous counterparts available.

“Being a new Macro fund and very active in the foreign exchange trading space, we were looking for a platform that could integrate all the asset classes we cover but also be an integrator of the various liquidity pools we wanted to tap, “ says Pierre Schroeder, the founder of Square Investment.  “TradingScreen achieves that goal for us and allows a swift integration in our Risk and portfolio management system with full STP. This allows us to concentrate on our trading strategy and to outsource the connectivity and execution management function (EMS) to a proven provider.”

“As a leading player in the FX arena we continually strive to help our clients create efficiencies in their businesses.  Bank of America’s utilization of TradeFX will enable our clients to more actively and effectively manage their FX transaction exposures across asset classes,” said Scott Freeman, Global Head of FX e-Trading Services of Bank of America.

“We are delighted to see that the large liquidity of Currenex for foreign exchange products and its premier streaming capability will be available now to the users of TradingScreen which includes some of the largest and most global Buy side players. Making our liquidity available in the most efficient way to the active FX players around the world and leveraging the high level of integration of TradingScreen with many Portfolio Management Systems will benefit Buy side clients significantly. This will reinforce Currenex’ position as the foremost leader and innovator in the FX electronic space,” says Cliff Lewis, CEO of Currenex.

“Continuing on our extension of services to the Buy side TradingScreen is now complementing the existing FX liquidity offerings by simplifying access to these multiple liquidity pools in a single EMS (Execution Management System) environment. This complements the unmatched connectivity that TradingScreen has created over the years in Equity, Listed Derivatives to bring to asset managers a high quality, multiple tools approach. All this being built on a full STP basis as always in the TradingScreen offering. The response from the first clients has been phenomenal says Philippe Buhannic CEO of TradingScreen”
