FIA Expo 2007 Report

The FIA held their 23rd Annual Futures & Options Expo November 27-29, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Chicago Illinois. This event is the largest global derivatives expo, showcasing industry products, services, and information. FIA preliminary estimated attendance numbers tally at about 5000 attendees. TradingScreen’s mission-statement was to continue to raise our visibility within the derivatives industry as a true EMS; a multi-assets, multi-brokers trading platform with flexible, complete Fix integration capabilities, while branding “FuturesHUB” with algo OMS integration. The theme of the display was based around broker/FCM algo integration. This coincided with a TradingScreen full page advertisement in the FIA’s Futures Industry Outlook 08 magazine, the TradingScreen sponsored FIA’s daily newsletter EXPO Today, and a TradingScreen Press Release announcing TradingScreen’s FuturesHUB, that included quotes from Philippe Buhannic, Calyon Financial, Credit Suisse, and UBS. Representatives from UBS, Credit Suisse, and BNY ConvergEx-LiquidPoint were on hand at our booth answering questions regarding their algo offering. The Expo gave us the opportunity to straighten existing customer relationships and to get in front of new opportunities. This expo was also an opportunity to network within our industry, evaluate the competition, educate ourselves on current and new technology, and familiarize ourselves with emerging industry trends. We put on a well organized polished and professional presents with new cutting edge technology. Being sponsors of this event gave us marquee with many high profile industry giants. In closing, the Expo was a tremendous success.
