Overview
We are seeking a Developer with 5-7 years of Java client side, multithreading, multi-user, or n-tier application development experience who aspires to break into AJAX based web development.
The successful candidate will work closely with a small team of Java developers, primarily focusing on the development, maintenance, and support of our electronic trading and prime brokerage related services. Objectives will include the design and development of new client facing applications using Google GWT/GXT as well as backend Java servers. The candidate will interact with clients and TradingScreen peers in Tokyo and London.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated UI design experience
- Experience designing multi-threaded Java applications
- Hands-on Java-based multi-tiered and/or distributed enterprise application development experience
- 5-7 years of professional software development experience
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Automated Unit and Integration test experience
- Understanding of GUI performance and usability issues
- Web Services (REST/XML/SOAP/WSDL) experience an added plus
